- Engage Students with an Up Learn Session
Running a session using the platform is a great way to reignite interest. This can be done by year group, subject or on a class-by-class basis. Our Up Learn School Assembly Slides (attached) can support you with this. Teachers regularly referencing Up Learn in class or incorporating Up Learn in their lessons will reinforce its value and drive student engagement too. Please get in touch with the Customer Success team to get these re-sent. - Set Clear Expectations & Routines
Establishing a structured approach will help students stay accountable. Clarify when assignments will be set, who will be monitoring progress, and any expectations for completion, including follow-ups or consequences for unfinished work. - Equip Staff with Best Practices Supporting teachers in integrating Up Learn effectively can make a big difference. Our 8 Steps to the Perfect Lesson Guide and User Guides for Teachers’ Training offer practical strategies to help staff get the most out of the platform. Encouraging teachers to develop a routine—whether through weekly check-ins or regular progress reviews—can help maintain accountability. Additionally, leveraging Up Learn assignment results to tailor lessons allows for more targeted support, ensuring students receive the help they need to succeed.
- Showcase the Benefits of Up Learn
Demonstrating how Up Learn can help students succeed is key. We have some great videos on our YouTube channel—here are a few you might find useful: - Re-engage Parents
Resharing the Introducing Up Learn for Parents handout, or visiting this blog, and setting clear expectations can be beneficial. We recommend letting parents know that students should be completing at least two sections per subject per week so they’re aware of the workload and any consequences for unfinished work.
