Zahir has a PhD in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. Prior to joining Up Learn, Zahir held senior engineering roles at GoCardless and Lantum. Zahir is passionate about the role technology can play in socio-economic development. Before moving to the UK, he was the CTO of Gram Vaani, a social enterprise that uses technology to solve socio-economic problems in India. He is keen to see Up Learn expand in developing regions of the world, and to get his son on Up Learn once he becomes old enough!
