After growing up in Chester, Kate went on to study Biochemistry at the University of Bristol where she first discovered an interest in the study of brain development. Her itchy feet and love of travel have led her across the globe – from working in Nigeria to exploring the Peruvian rainforest. Throughout her travels Kate documented her experiences through painting and photography. Now, Kate combines her love of art with her academic interests by animating Up Learn’s educational courses.
